Laguna Canyon Road is our most frequent call location and the most demanding. It is a two-lane road through a canyon with minimal shoulder, no room to work in places, and heavy traffic feeding the 405 and the 73. A breakdown there blocks a lane immediately and needs to be cleared fast and safely. PCH through the Village is the other pressure point, especially during the summer festival season when traffic barely moves.
The hillside streets are a category of their own. Bluebird Canyon, Arch Beach Heights, Top of the World, and the switchbacks above the Village are narrow, steeply graded, and often lined with parked cars leaving barely a lane. A low-clearance car on one of those streets cannot go on a tow bar, and a large flatbed may not be able to turn around at all. We plan the route and the truck before we roll. Laguna also has a high concentration of exotic and collector vehicles, and our experience moving Ferraris, McLarens, Lamborghinis, and Porsche GT3s is exactly what those calls require.
